Svan Alcoholic Beverage Lirde Enters Chain Store Alcorium
Svanetian Chacha, as known as rye vodka will be on sale next week in the chain store "Alcorium".
The company currently produces only Svanetian Chacha, which was made in the region of Svaneti for centuries. As the founder of Lirde, Iason Oniani mentioned with BusinessPartner, the product moved from traditional knowledge to a modern technological production unit. The beverage is distinguished from others by its aroma and sweet taste.
"Svans were making this beverage as a result of brewing endemic variety of plant, Dutsi, and Grape Chacha. Alpine Dutsi, (Gehi, in Svanetian language), is a special ingredient, which gives the beverage a distinctive color and flavor. The name "Lirde" means life in Svan, Svans celebrated the birth of new life with this drink.", noted the founder of Lirde, Iason Oniani.
The product mainly is oriented on the tourist segment in the local market. Within the frameworks of Pandemic, their future plans and factories were hindered.
As the company says, they do not think that local market is large enough for developing business, therefore, the company plans to export the production in the future, including the countries - Poland, Czech Republic, Belarus, Lithuania, and Ukraine.
The company entered the market in June this year.
