Supervisory Board of the Georgian Stock Exchange has a New Chairwoman

The Supervisory Board of the Georgian Stock Exchange has a new chairwoman. The managing director of TBC Capital, Meri Chachanidze, was appointed board chair. Up until this point, she had been a council member.

Giorgi Bachiashvili recently resigned from the exchange's board, leaving the position vacant.

Meri Chachanidze joined the TBC team in 2017. Initially, she managed the bank's large, corporate clients. In February 2020, she was appointed as the managing director of TBC Capital, and from 2021 she headed the investment and WM directions of TBC Bank.

The stock exchange also has a new director. Nino Kurdiani replaced Giorgi Faresishvili. Faresishvili continues his career in Uzbekistan and heads the Republic of Uzbekistan stock exchange.
