Stroller Imports to Georgia Surge by 28% to $2.7 Million in 2022

Georgia saw a significant upsurge in the import of strollers in 2022, with a total worth of $2.7 million, reflecting a 28% increase compared to the previous year.

The majority of these imports originated from EU countries and China. In 2022, approximately $754,000 worth of baby strollers were sourced from China, while EU countries contributed a notable $1.9 million. Bulgaria took the lead as the primary exporter of baby strollers to Georgia.

In 2022, Sakartelo accounted for the largest volume of imports from Bulgaria, procuring baby strollers worth $901,000. Other significant contributors included Poland ($750,000), Germany ($78,000), France ($56,000), and Italy ($48,000). However, the contribution from other European countries to the total imports was minimal.

Regarding the performance in the current year, between January and April 2023, Georgia's stroller imports totaled $580,900. This figure was slightly less compared to the same period last year, when the imports were valued at $652,780.
