Strawberry Greenhouses to Build in Gori

The farmer Tamaz Kakitashvili owns strawberry greenhouses in the village of Garejvari of Gori. With the support of TBC, the farmer expands business and builds up to 15 new greenhouses in the village of Rekha. With the preferential agro credit and participation in the state program "Plant the Future", the farmer plans to expand gardening: raspberry seeds will be planted on an area of 3 hectares in the village Karaleti, and pear seeds will be planted on 1 ha.

"My task is to get the most organic bio-product and offer it to the market since the demand for natural and biologically clean products grows more and more. I plan to develop business in this field as well.", noted farmer Ramaz Kakitashvili.

The products are sold entirely on Georgian market. The wholesale price of 1 kilogram of strawberry is 10 GEL. In the future, along with expanding the business, he plans to purchase packaging machines to be able to retail biologically clean strawberries and other fruits.
