Step Inn Hotel: A New €2 Million Investment Elevates Tourism in Kazbegi
A striking addition to the tourism landscape of Kazbegi, the Step Inn hotel, has recently opened its doors in Stepantsminda township, fueled by a robust foreign investment of €2 million.
Spread over five floors, the hotel elegantly merges diverse accommodation options, including 19 distinct room types. The space also features a conference facility that can comfortably seat 30 attendees, a state-of-the-art spa center with a pool and sauna, and a restaurant offering a tasteful blend of Georgian and European cuisines, courtesy of Georgian chef Keti Bakradze. The hotel currently employs 20 individuals, but there are plans to double this figure in the near future.
Ani Alibegashvili, the visionary behind Step Inn Hotel, has built on a decade's experience of managing family accommodation to create a high-quality, full-service hotel with her business partner. The process of raising funds for this ambitious project began several years ago.
"The hotel construction was made possible through direct foreign investment of up to €2 million, a sum we successfully sourced from Germany and Poland," she explained.
With Kazbegi's visitor numbers consistently on the rise, Alibegashvili identified a gap in the market for comprehensive hospitality services. "Around 90% of tourists visiting Georgia also make a trip to Kazbegi. However, only a handful of local businesses can offer an all-encompassing stay experience. Most services offered by locals cater to budget travelers, and while the Rooms Hotel has made significant contributions to the sector, there was a clear need for more."
The Step Inn Hotel is an answer to that demand, providing an all-in-one experience where guests can host business meetings, celebrate special occasions, or simply enjoy a luxurious stay. "Our goal was to create an establishment where guests could access all the services they need for an excellent vacation in one place," Alibegashvili concluded.
