Stem Cell Laboratory Project Suspended amid Pandemic
The project for building a medical-diagnostics center together with a stem cell laboratory has been suspended because of the pandemic.
As noted by Chabuka Chirgadze, one of the founders of the facility, the building was to be built on Kostava Avenue, behind Danish House, but the company failed to buy additional space on the mentioned location and the investor decided to find an alternative space of 2,500-3,000 square meters in Tbilisi and build the medical-diagnostics enter on a new location.
The company could not find a corresponding location and take specific actions so far, Chirgadze added. ‘We take all efforts, but the world crisis frustrates our plans. We are waiting for stabilization. Georgia is considered to be a growing market and this project remains relevant”, Chirgadze pointed out. This laboratory will conduct almost all types of examination works, including the facility will comprise stem cell laboratory, he said.
Physical body Chabuka Chirgadze became one of the owners of the real estate located at Kostava Avenue N70 in February 2017. The investor is a Germany-based Georgian businessman and he purchased the real estate at an electronic auction at GEL 1.483 million. The investor plans to invest $0.5 million in construction and facing works. However, Chirgadze asserts that today the project’s investment value has increased.
