Stadler May Build a Train Manufacturing Factory in Georgia

Owner of Stadler, Peter Spuller discussed the matters of train manufacturing possibilities with the Prime Minister of Georgia, Irakli Garibashvili.

"We introduced double-decker trains for the Georgian Railway a few years ago. Then we signed a contract and a memorandum of understanding on additional trains. Now we have discussed the matters about the next steps with the Prime Minister.", noted Peter Spuller.

The possibility of building a factory of the Swiss company Stadler in Georgia was also discussed. Railway components must be manufactured/repaired at the factory. It is noteworthy that the construction of this factory has been planned for several years. The government assures that it will support the implementation of this investment.
