Soap Atelier as Family Business
Soap Atelier manufactures 100% natural handmade soaps. As noted by the company founder Zaza Boghlotsishvili, the enterprise is located in Tbilisi. For family needs, he decided to replace plant-manufactured hygiene products with natural herbal products created by himself.
“I collected and studied various information and I realized that could do this business. I have studied production technologies, properties of various fats, ingredients, and herbal raw materials. The first soap gave good results. Then our friends also approved our products and we decided to transform our undertaking into a family business.
There are 6 members in our family and each one fulfills his/her own function. We have prepared all required equipment for production and named our business as Soap Atelier. We created our own logo and launched production a year ago”, the company director noted. As noted by Boghlotsishvili, at this stage, the company sells products on the domestic market via an online platform. Soap Atelier manufactures 15 varieties of soap. The price of one piece is GEL 10-12. The company plans to launch exports too, Boghlotsishvili noted. “Initially, we sold products on digital platforms, through social networks. Later, we received orders from pharmacies, stores of handmade things, with which we have cooperated successfully”, Zaza Boghlotsishvili noted.
The company produces soaps primarily of fats, healing-cosmetics clays extracted in Georgia, including Askana bentonite clay, Akhtala healing mud, and various herbal components, he said. “We make soaps by Cold Method, that is, the production process proceeds on 35-40 degree. This process maximally maintains properties of ingredients”, Zaza Boghlotsishvili noted.
