Snails Produced in Samegrelo Export to Spain

Snails produced in Senaki and Khoni after exporting to Italy will enter the market of Spain. 

According to the co-founder of Nadi Group, Merab Nadaraia, the negotiations are underway and in case of its successful completion, snails produced in Georgia will be exported to Spain. 

Starting from the fall of 2020, the company started sending snails to Italy for sale. 

As a result of the Russia-Ukraine war, Ukraine won't be able to export 800 tons of snails to the international market.

The total amount of investment in the enterprise in Senaki is 2 million euros. The factory was built on 1,800 square meters. The project envisages processing snail meat, which will start in October. 

The company owns snail farms located in Khobi and Senaki, where 50 tons of snails are manufactured annually.
