The Bank of Georgia actively continues to implement projects and support businesses with its partners. For this purpose, the Bank and the EBRD signed a partnership agreement with Batumi Grand Mall, as a result of which a new shopping center will be opened in Batumi.

The total cost of the project is 20 million euros, the amount of the loan is 7 million euros, which will be fully used to complete the construction of the shopping center. As part of the partnership, the company will additionally receive a grant from the EBRD's FINTECC program, whose donors are the European Union and the Global Environment Facility, for energy-efficient installations and building materials.

"We are glad that with the support of the Bank of Georgia and the EBRD, we started the construction of a new shopping center in Batumi, the area of which is 24,000 sq.m. The new mall will open in autumn 2023, where more than 100 brands will be represented. Among them, Massimo Dutti, ZARA, Mango, Stradivarius, Tommy Hilfiger, Gant, Guess, US Polo and others. The mall will have food outlets and a cinema, as well as fitness and children's entertainment centers. It is important that the building of the shopping center will be energy efficient, which will reduce energy consumption to 35%", said Batumi Grand Mall investor, Amiran Darchidze.
