Rompetrol to Become Member of Business Association of Georgia

Rompetrol is the main brand of KMG International, used for the refining, petrochemicals and retail activities in Romania, Moldova, Bulgaria, Georgia and also for good services in the upstream area. We have gained success not only through development at international level but also in more than 4 decades of expertise in the oil industry.

The company was well-known as Rompetrol Group N.V until 2014 when it was renamed in KMG International as part of the strategy to integrate all activities within NC KazMunayGas JSC - the Group’s shareholder and Kazakhstan's national oil and gas operator and to promote one single brand of companies for its successful entry into foreign markets.

The company unites more than 6000 employees and operates on 12 general bases.

Rompetrol Georgia, a subsidiary of KMG International Group, operates network of 81 gas stations across the country. It is known to the local market as the leader in terms of the highest quality fuel provider of Euro 5 standard. In addition to the retail operations, the company carries out wholesale trading through Tbilisi Depot and Batumi Depot located in Batumi oil terminal. Rompetrol Georgia operates on Georgian market since 2005 and hires more than 800 employees.

"We welcome our new member, the issue of oil products became much more relevant for our association and this is the reason for creating the appropriate committee, which works on such matters. We perceive Rompetrol being a member of BAG as a positive dynamic for our company's development on Georgian market.", declared executive director of BAG, Levan Vepkhvadze.
