Restaurants will not Open Arbitrarily on February 6
Tomorrow, on February 6, the restaurants will no longer open arbitrarily - the decision was made by the representatives of the hospitality industry based on the decision made by the government yesterday to open open spaces for restaurants.
As Shota Burjanadze, the head of the Association of Restaurants, explained to BM.GE, although the opening of open spaces will not bring additional benefits to restaurants, they positively assess the government's move, so they will not open arbitrarily tomorrow.
He adds that the government must fulfill its promises and, in parallel with improving the epidemiological situation, must decide to fully open restaurants, otherwise there will be disobedience and arbitrary opening of food outlets.
" In fact, whatever decision was made yesterday to open the outdoor spaces of restaurants from February 15, it does not bring any additional benefits to the government or the industry. It is an insignificant, very small opportunity, but despite this small opportunity, we feel this step taken by the government, but the gap of distrust is so big that only this step can not fill and unite this trust. Therefore, we refuse the Saturday rally and do not open the doors of the restaurants and to some extent appreciate the decision made by the government.
This does not mean that if the government does not fulfill its promises and does not reconsider its decision to open the restaurants in full, then we will resort to this form of disobedience in the coming days and open the restaurant door, "said the head of the restaurant association.
