Restaurant Association Expects Massive Shutting Down of Restaurants in Georgia

Due to the current epidemiological situation and the regulations imposed by the government, the Restaurant Association is expecting for the massive closure of restaurants these days.

According to Shota Burjanadze, the chairman of the union with "Business Partner", the facilities are no longer able to function.

"Today's decision is probably mainly related to Kakheti region. In fact, it was already closed in Tbilisi, Adjara and Imereti. The only place where restaurants could operate after 22:00 was Kakheti.

This decision has hit restaurants hard. After work was banned after 22:00, 50% of the remaining restaurants were closed. We expect a massive closure of restaurants in a few days. For many restaurants, functioning no longer makes sense. There are a number of restaurants that did not depend on it and they will survive, ”said Burjanadze.
