Regional Beekeeping Center Opened in Tbilisi
A multifunctional regional beekeeping center was opened in Tbilisi, which was built and equipped in cooperation with the Czech Development Agency, Tbilisi City Hall and the Association "Agora".
According to Tbilisi Deputy Mayor Andria Basilaia, more than 400,000 euros have been invested in the project.
A multifunctional regional beekeeping center has been established, the strategic goal of which is to promote urban agriculture and to present Tbilisi as a "green" city in a broader context.
This project once again emphasizes the close cooperation of Tbilisi City Hall with the private sector, international partners and donor organizations. In the second phase of the project, today we will sign a memorandum and the center will start active work, will provide services to interested parties in the field of both educational and technology development. There will also be a beekeeping laboratory, which will carry out useful and necessary research in the field, "- said Andria Basilaia.
At the event, the parties signed a Memorandum of Understanding aimed at establishing partnership terms and ongoing support for the Beekeeping Center.
