QR Codes and Single-use Menu – Innovation for Georgian Restaurants
All restaurants and cafes are obliged to serve clients through QR Codes or single-use menu.
To this end, Printarea company started printing QR codes and single-use menus for restaurants.
As noted by the company manager general Tina Sanadze, this is a widespread practice worldwide and an innovation in Georgia. Namely, clients are able to make an order through QR codes, installed on tables, form their own mobile phones in a contactless form.
We provide design services and digitize menus, including with photos of dishes in several languages. All these materials are uploaded onto the server. Clients connect to table QR codes and make an order from their own mobile phones. In this case, single-use menu are not necessary. QR code is an absolutely safe and contactless technology and is simple in use, Tina Sanadze noted.
At this stage, about 10 restaurants have already ordered single-use menus and this number grows, she noted.
“In general, electronic menu is a widespread practice worldwide. It is one of the parts of modern life. Therefore, this practice will be established in Georgia too and in the future all restaurants will move to this technology”, Tina Sanadze noted.
We remind you that outdoor restaurants and cafes will resume operation on June 1, while starting June 8 full-scale services will be restarted, under government recommendations, including seats must be booked in advance. Only 6 persons are admitted around the same table. The distance between clients must be at least 1 meter. Furthermore, facilities must provide daily thermal screening of the staff and clients.
