Qatar Hypermarket Chain LULU Considers Opening a Trade Representative Office in Georgia

Lulu International, a chain of large shopping hypermarkets in Qatar, is considering opening a regional trade office in Georgia, - Deputy Minister of Environment and Agriculture of Georgia Nino Tandilashvili said during a working visit to Qatar.
 
At the meeting, the importance of promoting quality and competitive Georgian products in international markets and establishing a place was mentioned.
 
We would like to remind you that in June of last year, with the support of the Embassy of Georgia, about 50 Georgian products were introduced in 14 trade outlets of the Lulu network in Qatar.
 
As Nino Tandilashvili noted at the meeting, with the support of the Government of Georgia, they are working to diversify international markets. In the Gulf countries, particularly in the state of Qatar, interest in various Georgian products of different names has increased in the last two years.
 
According to the CEO of Lulu, a chain of commercial hypermarkets, the efforts made by the Embassy of Georgia in the Government of Georgia and the State of Qatar are significant, which contributes to the placement of Georgian products in trade networks in the Gulf countries. According to him, the growth of exports of high-quality agricultural products from Georgia is welcome. The CEO expressed readiness to assist Georgian producers in promoting their products.
