Outlet Village Project to Launch in 2023
The first "Outlet Village" project will be launched in the region in 2023, which will be located in Lilo, on an area of 10 hectares.
According to the managing partner of Georgian Outlet and Resorts Group, Guga Tsanava, the opening of the outlet was scheduled for this spring, the but Russia-Ukraine war delayed the process to some extent.
"We already have 70% of the raw materials required for the first phase of construction, and the remaining 30% is on the way.", noted Guga Tsanava.
As for the volume of investment, it was planned to allocate 70 million GEL for the project, but due to global inflation, which was sharply reflected in the prices of construction materials, the final cost of the project is expected to reach 100 million GEL.
"Currently, we have active communication with brands. It is gratifying that some brands which are ready for cooperation, had previously refused - the reason is the loss of the Russian-Ukrainian market, which is why they are actively expressing their readiness to enter the Georgian market.
We have already signed a contract with 60% of the brands - that is about 47 brands in nine categories."
