Opening Date of $101 Million Hotel Luxury Collection to Postpone for Several Months

The opening date of Marriott's high-class hotel - Luxury Collection has been postponed for several months.

Opening of the hotel was planned this year. Luxury Collection should have started functioning in September of 2020, but as the fund defines now, due to the situation occurred, the construction processes were delayed.

"We did not finish the construction process of the hotel on time, since international tourism is closed today and there is no demand on the market. The opening of the hotel means hiring employees, buying working capital, and the details which are done for 6 months in advance. Until the situation will not stabilize and flights will not be restored, it will not be right of us to start this process.", Tourism Development Fund declares.

According to the information provided by them, Luxury Hotel is already on its final stage, in which total investment was $101 million.

Luxury Collection is part of the project Panorama Tbilisi and it will be connected by a ropeway from Freedom Square to the hotel Sololaki, which also will be linked with Tabori hotel and the Golf Club.
