Nikoloz Gagua Joins the Management of Astana International Financial Center
Nikoloz Gagua has joined the management team of the Astana International Financial Center (AIFC), where he has taken on the role of Deputy CEO, as announced by the AIFC.
Before this appointment, Nikoloz Gagua served as the Vice President of the National Bank of Georgia until September 2023. His previous roles also include Deputy Minister of Finance and Economy of Georgia, and in 2018, he briefly held the position of Minister of Finance.
Nikoloz Gagua holds a master’s degree in economics from Tbilisi State University and another master’s degree in economics from Williams College.
The Astana International Financial Center (AIFC), established in 2018, is Kazakhstan’s primary financial hub. The center operates under a special legal status, designed to attract international investments to Kazakhstan. To date, 2,700 companies from 78 countries are registered within this special financial center.
