Next Energy to Build UDABNO’s Solar Power Station

The Next Energy company will build the solar power station in the village of Udabno, Kakheti Region.

The mentioned company will partner with Georgian Energy Development Fund to build solar power stations in the country.

The installed generation of the mentioned facility is 5 megawatts and the annual generation will be 7.1 million kw/h. The project’s investment value is $3.45 million. The Energy Development Fund will hold a 10% stake in the joint company, while Next Energy will hold a 90% stake.

This is the Government’s second attempt to build a solar power station in Udabno. The previous tender was won by Georgian Solar Company. Citizen of Canada Goga Jakhia is the beneficiary owner of Next Energy company that has also engaged in wind power station projects in the Imereti Region.
