New Regulation for Business - Environmental Restrictions to Come in Force in Georgia Soon

Environmental requirements in Georgia will come into force from June 1st.

According to the Minister of Agriculture and Environmental Protection, the aim of imposing the regulations is to increase the environmental responsibility of entrepreneurs, which will positively affect the ecological situation in the country.

"We have two main sources of air pollution: transport and industrial facilities. Aiming to decrease the pollution of industrial facilities, the ministry prepared an important legislative initiative, which envisages equipping the factories with a proper filtration system. This new regulation will ensure the minimization of harmful impacts on the environment.", noted Davitashvili.
