Museum of Hydroelectric Station to Open in Borjomi

Georgian Energy Development Fund works on the renewal of historic HPP in Borjomi.

According to the head of GEDF, Giorgi Chikovani, this power plant with a capacity of 140 horsepower (60 kWh) will return to its original shape. Currently, the building of the power plant and the infrastructure on the premises are being rehabilitated.

"This will be one of the tourist attractions in the country. The amount of investment for the museum is approximately 3,5 million GEL. For November of 2022, we plan to open it and visitors will be able to see HPP, which was built in 1899.", noted Giorgi Chikovani.
