Miniature Gardens and Nature in Glassware – Back to Old Profession
Landscape designer by profession, but with a 28-year break period. War in Abkhazia, life in emigration, the homeland again and working in other fields.
And suddently, in spring 2019, when her grandsons Sandro and Nika congratulated her on the Day of Mother with a special gift, she decided to return to her old profession. Mzia Jakhaia created a garden in glassware and established the brand of Roch&Flowers. Today, many pavilions in Tbilisi have exposed her works.
“I am from Abkhazia. I used to work by my profession there, but after the war I ceased this trade. I am a landscape designer. I had nostalgia for both Abkhazia and my profession. In sprig 2019, when visiting grandchildren in Sweden, Sandro and Nika presented a gift to me. They easily selected a gift, because they wanted to embody the whole love in one word. After that I decided to launch my own business and create miniature gardens and make gift dedications”, Mzia Jakhaia told Business Press News.
Having returned to Tbilisi she started purchasing necessary things and in August she created the first Miniature Garden. Initially Mzia wanted all her works to be the size of the hand palm, but later she increased scales after customer orders.
“When I started creating Miniature Gardens and opened Facebok page I could not imagine the consumers would accept my business so warmly. I create all works with my own ideas, I only agree colors and writing dedications with the customer”, the designer noted.
At this stage, Mzia Jakhaia is working on New Year themes.
