Mingrelian Tea Expands the Production with the Support of TBC

With the help of rehabilitation program of tea, the founder of Mingrelian Tea, Nana Bigvava restored tea plantations of 35 hectares. It has been two years since Mingrelian Tea produces high-quality tea in the market.

Nana Bigvava thinks that despite the fact that the Georgian market includes imported production, the demand is still high on Georgian tea, which is the reason why the farmer decided to expand her business.

Apart from plantations, the company also has a processing plant, in which only premium quality tea twigs are grown. This year, Mingrelian Tea increased the quantity of raw tea with the support of TBC and purchased its products from locals. Approximately 50 people are employed currently, and 50-60 tons of tea are harvested seasonally.

Mingrelian Tea exported for the first time this year. The company imported its products in Belarus a while ago. As the founder reckons, the list of exporting countries will be increased in the near future.
