Lithuanian Logistics Company Girteka Enters Georgia Creating 300 Jobs

Lithuanian logistics company Girteka is entering Georgia and will create 300 jobs. This is stated in the report of the Government of Georgia. The document talks about attracted foreign direct investment (FDI), including companies that have made decisions to relocate to Georgia.

According to the report, Girteka will start offering business process services in Georgia.

The Lithuanian company Girteka, the owner of the largest cargo fleet in Europe, has chosen Georgia as the location of Global Business Services (GBS) and will create 300 jobs by the end of 2023.

''The company plans to be among the 10 largest logistics companies in Europe and Georgia is an important part of its expansion plan, ”the government report said.

Girteka is one of the largest logistics companies in the Baltics, it was founded in 1996 and currently offers customers mainly land and sea shipping services. The company has a fleet of more than 9,000 trailers and operates 860,000 trailers annually. The prison employs 18,000 people.
