The average number of employees in 2019 was set at 756.9 thousand people, which is 3.1 percent more than last year, according to a report published by Geostat - the results of enterprises.

According to the same data, 41.4 percent of the total number of employees are women and 58.6 percent are men.

35.0 percent of the total number of employees come from large businesses, 20.2 percent from medium-sized businesses, and the remaining 44.8 percent from small businesses. The total number of employees was 702.0 thousand people (compared to last year - 3.3 percent more). Total expenses of enterprises were set at GEL 9,977.2 million (10.3 percent more than last year).

Tbilservice Group Ltd - collection of non-hazardous waste
PSP Pharma Ltd - Retail sale of pharmaceutical goods in specialized stores
Geo Hospitals Ltd - Hospital activities
Georgian Manganese Ltd. - Production of cast iron, steel and ferroalloys

The turnover of the business sector in 2019 increased by 25.9 percent compared to the same period last year and amounted to 109.0 billion.
