Leather Handbags and Wallets Brand SALUKVADZE Opens Two Showrooms in Tbilisi

Salukvadze, the Georgian manufacturer of leather handbags and wallets has opened two showrooms in Tbilisi. The brand products are represented at Gldani and Saburtralo City Malls.

Shortly, the company plans to open a workshop too. Salukvadze manufactures handbags and wallets of premium-quality natural artificial leather. As the company founder Liza Salukvadze told Business Partner, the company has already expanded assortments, however, amid the declining sales and complicated economic situation in the country, the men’s line could not be expanded. “We are facing a sales bottleneck, but I have taken a risk and opened the showrooms anyway. Initially, the demand was impressive, but the COVID restrictions on municipal transport have substantially reduced the inflow of customers. Furthermore, online sales have also declined by 30%.

In general, sales shrink in the summer period, especially in August. At the same time, the current economic difficulties have more affected our sales. If the current situation does not worsen, I will not close the showrooms. On the contrary, I will eve open a workshop in two months, because I expect sales to rise in mid-September”, Liza Salukvadze noted.
