KidNest, the Innovative Kindergarten Management App, Emerges as a Startup Pre-Accelerator Finalist

KidNest, an emerging startup, has made its mark as a finalist in the startup pre-accelerator program. This program, spanning three months and beginning in October, provides an intensive developmental experience for startups.

Participants collaborate with pre-accelerator teams, industry experts, and speakers to refine their ventures. During this period, startups like KidNest have significantly enhanced their offerings based on the insights gained.

Launched in the summer of 2023, the KidNest mobile app is designed to streamline communication between kindergarten staff and parents. This multifunctional platform simplifies educators' workload by enabling them to swiftly inform parents about their children’s daily activities, needs, and progress. Simultaneously, KidNest provides parents with systematic updates and keeps kindergarten administration informed about upcoming events, payment deadlines, and holiday schedules. The app also maintains detailed records of children, their parents, and financial transactions.

Registration on KidNest is secure and user-friendly. The kindergarten administration enrolls the child and shares a registration link with parents, ensuring access to child-specific information is restricted to authorized individuals. This process also encompasses an online contract signing, further adding to the app's utility and security. Features like in-app chat and a cloud system consolidate all child-related information, enhancing both convenience and safety.

The app's development was backed by extensive research and has been successfully pilot-tested in several kindergartens. Feedback from these trials was overwhelmingly positive, highlighting KidNest’s efficiency in saving time and resources while facilitating better communication between kindergartens and parents.

"Our trials in three large kindergartens were very encouraging. The platform's adoption was smooth, and it quickly became evident how much KidNest could optimize resource use and improve communication. The pre-accelerator was instrumental in refining our business plan and strategy and preparing a compelling pitch. This led to KidNest being selected as one of the nine startups to visit Tallinn for a three-day bootcamp and investor meetings," shared Ketana Sturua, KidNest's co-founder.

KidNest, along with other startups, is set to visit Tallinn in January for a bootcamp and investor meetings. The startup pre-accelerator, initiated by Impact Hub Tbilisi, aims to address challenges in the local startup ecosystem and has been supported by the TBC program Startuper since its inception. In its tenure, the program has nurtured 60 startups, helping them secure over 1 million euros in investments and grants.
