KIA Sees Positive Dynamics in Air Traffic

Positive dynamics of air traffic at Kutaisi International Airport can also be observed in early 2022.

According to the information provided by the Georgian Airports Association, in March 2022, compared to the same period in 2019, 88% of the passenger flow was restored at KIA. In particular, KIA served 46,735 passengers. In March 2019, the number of passengers was 53,316.

Taking into account the restrictions imposed due to the pandemic, in addition to the passenger flow, there is a positive dynamic at Kutaisi International Airport in terms of number of flights. In March, the airport resumed 120% of flights and served 222 flights. In the same period of 2019, 185 flights were launched.

Currently, Kutaisi International Airport operates 5 airlines in 25 destinations in 14 countries.
