Inn Group: Tourists Should be Allowed to Enter the Country by Land

The executive director of Georgian chained-brand hotels, Inn Group, Erekle Kokaia notes, that it is vitally important to renew tourism, and therefore, it is necessary to lift the restrictions on the land border for visitors entering the country.

"It was a step taken towards, to lift the restrictions on vaccinated tourists arriving here by air, however, it is unclear to us, what is the difference between air and land borders, if tourists are vaccinated. We can't understand, why they do not open the borders. moreover, if we take into account, that more than 75% of our tourists were entering the country by land, it turns out, that the main source of tourism is closed.", noted Erekle Kokaia.

He also discusses the matters of communication with the government. According to him, the private sector gives the latest updates to the government every day. However, without any result, because there is no response from them. 

"We've made many offers to the government, however, there is no response from them.",  he declares.

Inn Group entered Georgian market in 2015. The company includes hotels located in Tbilisi, Bakuriani, and Gudauri.
