Hotel Rooms were Fully Booked in December, Government's Decision was Unexpected - Goderdzi Ski Resort
The 48-room hotel, Goderdzi Ski Resort, which was fully reserved from December 5th, the decision of the government hit hard.
Jumber Tchkonia, the owner of the hotel mentioned with BM.GE, that restrictions imposed by the government are difficult to overcome for the business, but this situation is understandable due to the COVID-19 outbreak.
"We were ready for everything, personnel was also trained. We should have received guests from December 5th. Our visitors booked the rooms on New Year's Eve and in January. As we learnt today, we are only able to function from December 24th to January 2nd. It makes no sense. If anyone wants to come here on New Year, we will accept it, otherwise, we will be closed.", declared Jumber Tchkonia.
According to him, the reservations were throughout Georgia, including Tbilisi, Kutaisi, Batumi, etc.
