Hotel GoodAura: Reopening Winter Resorts No Longer Makes Sense, We Operate at a Loss
The manager of the hotel GoodAura, Zviad Malania discusses the matters of the government's decision to keep the restrictions in ski resorts.
"Keeping closed hotels cost usu to 6,000 GEL per month. Prolonging restrictions is bad, indeed. however, I think that reopening the hotel has no meaning anymore. We will not get out of the loss. The half of the season is over. The company could have worked for the whole season, however, it's too late.
Our hotel was the first to pass the inspection, we got the appropriate license, we followed all the regulations and we were able to continue to work like that. We maximally preserved the employees, and salaries, therefore, it turned out that we are in a very bad situation because of prolonging restrictions.", noted Zviad Malania.
Restrictions are planned to be eased across the country from February 1, however, this does not apply to winter resorts.
