Holiday Inn Express Avlabari Hotel Worth $11 Million to Open in Tbilisi in September

A new 3-star economy-class hotel Holiday Inn Express Avlabari will open in Tbilisi in September 2021.

The project is being implemented with Kazakh investments. As noted by Giorgi Jakhutashvili, director of Capitol Group investment company and Kazakhstan’s honorary consul in Georgia, the invaluable court system and protracted trials have belated the project implementation. “In 2017, we bought land in Avlabari for building this hotel. Investors had already spent GEL 2 million on the project implementation, when, suddenly, one of the neighbors sued Tbilisi City Hall to the court and asked to suspend the construction process during the litigation. The construction works were halted for a long period. The trial lasted 2 years. In the end, the remaining part of investments was made and the hotel will open in September”, Jakhutashvili said. Investors have financed the project by $11 million. The hotel will open on September 19, 2021, the investors specified. As noted by representatives of Symmetry real estate company, an affiliated company of Capitol Group, this is one of the important ongoing projects - international brand hotel in Old Tbilisi, in the historical part of Tbilisi, on the attractive tourism location.

Holiday Inn Express is designed for the medium segment. The hotel with refined design will comprise large conference halls and internal greened yards. Holiday Inn Express is one of the brands of Intercontinental international company. The hotel management is carried out by T3 Hospitality Management international company, Symmetry representatives noted. The 123-suit hotel with approximately 80 employees will also comprise 3 meeting rooms of various dimensions.
