Herbs Producing Company Herbia Plans to Expand

Herbia is a grower, packer, and shipper of Global Gap -certified culinary herbs and vegetables with no chemical fertilizers or insecticides. Currently, Herbia's founder, Zurab Janelidze mentioned, that the company purchased an additional 15 hectares of territory near the greenhouse.

According to him, as a result of expanding, the company plans to enlarge the assortment of herbs and vegetables. 

If 20 types of herbs are produced in "Herbia" so far, this number will increase to 30 from September.

Despite the coronavirus outbreak, the working process at Herbia doubled. The demand for herbs has increased, therefore farm is able to satisfy the population even in the conditions of a pandemic. 

"90% of 30 varieties of products of Herbia are sold in the local market today, the rest is exporting in Bulgaria."

Janelidze says that after the expansion the company will increase the list of exporting countries. 

"Herbia" has created a greenhouse equipped with modern standards with the financial support of the state, where various varieties of herbs and vegetables are grown.
