Grape Seed Oil from Georgia Enters European Markets

Grape seed oil produced in Georgia entered European markets.

Export products are manufactured by "Eco Georgian Group", which has been operating an environmentally friendly, efficient enterprise in Kakheti since 2018. Grape seed oil is made by cold distillation method.

The company receives pressed grapes from nearby factories, therefore, the production cycle is tied to the vintage. As they say in "Eco Georgian Group", it is difficult to sell grape seeds in Georgia, because the awareness of the product in the local market is low, although this industry has great development prospects in the country. In many countries of the world, grape seed oil is used both in food and in high-quality cosmetics.

According to the head of the enterprise, Tamaz Aphkhazava, currently, Eco Georgian Group collects up to 1000-2000 tons of pressed grapes. The company has the resource to manufacture up to 50 tons of grape seed oil.
