GlenBerries to Build Greenhouses and Factory in Khoni

GlenBerries, the company producing frozen fruit and vegetables, plans to build a factory and greenhouses on 117 ha of the territory.

The CEO of the company, Rapiel Magalashvili mentions, that the total price of the investment is 30 million GEL.

The production of GlenBerries is exported to Israel and the United States. According to the director of the company, last year was pretty difficult for the company and problems were not only in sales but also in the deficit of raw material.

Due to the high demand, they will cultivate berry fields on 117 hectares.

"For instance, frozen blueberry is in high demand abroad, and new berries are really expensive on the local market. As for the vegetables, we will be oriented on species such as broccoli, cauliflower, different greens, and etc.", stated Rapiel Magalashvili.
