GeorgianBlue Plans to Increase Blueberry Crop to 4,000 tons in 4-5 Years

GeorgianBlue aims to increase the harvest to 4,000 tons in 4-5 years.

As project manager Rati Morchiladze mentioned, the latest varieties of seedlings have already been planted on 4 hectares of the land and innovative technology has been introduced, the main benefits of which are much higher yields than previously.

"Varieties of blueberries, which we purchased from an American company, are distinguished with their stability, transportability, and high price. This year, we are waiting for 200 tons of harvest, and we plan to export 300-350 tons of blueberries. For the next 2-3 years, we will increase our harvest to 1,500 tons, and then - to 4,000 tons."

GeorgianBlue is the first company that created post-harvest infrastructure and introduce a production process that met the international practice.
