Georgian Sewing Company Starts Cooperation with Marks & Spencer and Moncler This Year

Georgian sewing company "Imeri" plans to cooperate with the international brand Moncler and Marks & Spencer.

As Zaza Gvenetadze, Deputy General Director of the company, told Business Partner, the contract with Italian Moncler has already been signed and an audit has been conducted. Consequently, the delivery of the first collection to them is expected to start in September.

As for Marks & Spencer, an audit is currently underway, after which a cooperation agreement will be signed between the Georgian company and an international brand. According to Gvenetadze, the Georgian company is expected to supply products to Marks & Spencer by the end of the year.

"Currently we sew women's clothes for German Lebek and Joy Lucy. We are talking about women's clothing, including coats and short coats, dresses, pants and jackets. The products produced by the company are fully exported, ”said Gvenetadze.

According to him, during the pandemic period, the company reduced sales by about 25%.

Imeri sewing factory has a history of 90 years, the enterprise has been working for foreign clients for the last 25 years. A very small part of the products is sold in the local market, in Kutaisi.
