Georgian Products to Export Animal Food to the EU
Georgian Products is one of the first companies, which exported its production to the EU.
As a founder of Georgian Products, Davit Bardavelidze mentioned, it was the demand from the EU countries that pushed him to start the production of animal feed.
According to him, they exported 20 tons of pet food to the EU, and they plan to export 40 tons every month in the future.
"We produce processed food for pets. The enterprise and the country are certified by the EU. We export processed, dried food in the EU, in particular, chicken fillet and dried breast. It is important that our food is in the premium segment. We also plan to expand our assortment, we think of adding deer meat, beef, etc.", - noted David Bardavelidze.
According to him, "Georgian Products" uses imported meat for food production, as it can buy raw materials only from enterprises accredited in the EU.
Currently, the company exports its production only to the EU, however, according to Davit Bardavelidze, the negotiations are underway with the U.S.
