Georgian Product Renaissance Starts Producing and Exporting Pecans

Nut processing company Georgian Products Renaissance has started production of American nut - pecans.

According to its founder, Baia Salukvadze, its test batch has already been shipped to Poland, and this year's crop will be exported to other European countries. It is also not ruled out that pecans will be sold in Georgia, however, due to the fact that the company does not have its own distribution network, it is much easier to work on exports.

"We receive raw materials from farmers. The exporting price of 1 kilogram of pecans is $8-9."

Georgian Products Renaissance entered the local market in 2013. Its initial investment price was 0.5 million GEL.
