Georgian Blueberries are in High Demand in Armenia

Georgian blueberries are in high demand in Armenia. In January-February, blueberries were sold in the neighboring country for 38 thousand dollars, twice as much as in January-February 2021 in all export markets combined.

Harvesting of blueberries starts in May, and only the crop of previous year is exported at this time.

Last year, Georgian farmers exported approximately 1,000 tons of blueberries, and sales amounted to $6 million. The main export market was Russia, with small volumes sold in Germany, the United Arab Emirates and Armenia.
