George Grey Winery plans to export a total of 30,000 bottles of wine in 2022. Out of eight varieties of wine produced by the comapny, only five of them are sold abroad so far - blue, Qvevri Rkatsiteli, Kvevri Kisi, Saperavi and Kindzmarauli. Giorgi Rukhadze notes that the company will export "Kesane Mtsvane", "Kakhetian Mtsvane" and "Greiseuli" by the end of 2022.
"12,000 bottles of wine were sent abroad. In the foreign market, George Grey Winery fall into the premium line category and its price ranges from 40 to 80 dollars."
As he further noted, due to the Russia-Ukraine war, the company did not have problems in the field of wine exports, although sales in the local market decreased.
"The Russia-Ukraine war has affected the country's domestic sales and sales have declined since consumers are refraining from purchasing products that are not for primary consumption." noted Giorgi Rukhadze.
