GEODE – New Georgian Footwear Brand Appears on Georgian Market

GEODE is an online store for Georgia-manufactured footwear, opened during the pandemic period. The footwear design is provided by 21-year-old artist-architect Zurab Turtseladze.

As the company representatives told the Commersant, the online store opened 2 months ago and the consumer demand has exceeded the expectations. GEODE representative Tamar Khabrelashvili told the Commersant that, at this stage, they work only on online sales and abstain from opening a store at this stage.

"We manufacture women, men, and children footwear. At this stage, we cannot take a risk and open a store, because regulations may be toughened again. At this stage, we are only confined to online sales. We appeared only two months ago and we have received a very good response. In the future we plan to open a store and add several new designs”, Tamar Khabrelashvili noted.
We use leather and fabric for making footwear. At this stage, we import raw materials from Turkey, however, in the future we plan to start imports from Italy, Tamar Khabrelashvili noted.

“At this stage, we import materials from only Turkey, because the pandemic has limited our access to Italy. Nonetheless, Turkish raw materials are also very good. We plan to export our products to foreign markets too”, Tamar Khabrelashvili noted.

Our products are designed for high and medium price segments, he added.
GEODE enterprise is located at N1 Maisuradze Street and employs only 4 citizens.
