Turkish furniture manufacturing company Assia plans to launch a furniture enterprise in Natakhtari and invest $2 million in business development.

As noted by the company founder Omer Faruk Demirtas, amid the growing demand for furniture, the company will make focus on satisfying the domestic market demand and later will activate exports direction too.

“I am Georgian by origin and in my childhood, I dream of doing business in Georgia. In the course of time, I launched my own business in Turkey and now we have realized my youth ideas together with Georgian partners. At the enterprise, we produce both hotel and house furniture. The output depends on consumer demand. We have already received orders from one of the hotels in Batumi with 150 suites and our company will fully accomplish this hotel with furniture”, Omer Faruk Demirtas noted. Notably, investors have not used the state support programs and Assia company has created approximately 50 job places with investments of $2 million.

The plant is fully equipped with European and modern machinery. The enterprise will primarily work on Turkish raw materials. In the course of time, the company plans to launch exports of furniture to Europe. “We have already gained rich experience of exporting furniture from our Turkey-based enterprise. Therefore, the Georgia-based plant will also export furniture to Germany, France, and Great Britain, even more, so we will simpler export our products to Europe”, the Assia founder said.
