Founder of Telavi Wine Cellar Postpones Cheese Production

The founder of the company - Telavi Wine Cellar, Zurab Ramazashvili postponed starting date of cheese production. The reason for this is the pandemic.

He plans to implement the project within the frameworks of the existing farm "Green Ranch", which businessman built in 2014 and invested 900,000 GEL in it.

According to him, the company had to sell the goods, therefore, it will not be possible to produce cheese within a small capacity.

"Currently, we plan to import a new batch of cows from abroad, which will probably give us good results. I can say that the project is still alive, however, it will be implemented later. Pandemic played its part in this process, as the high-quality cheese produced by us could not be sold due to the fact that it would target the HoReCa sector, which has suffered the most in this situation."
