Founder of Georgian Products Starts Almond Business with $15 Million Investment

The founder of Georgian Products, a company that makes furniture, food, and accessories for animals, Davit Bardavelidze, is beginning to make investments in the agriculture industry with foreign partners.

As the businessman stated in the Redact2 program, they have already planted almond orchards on 200 hectares in Kakheti and Marneuli together with Spanish partners.

According to Davit Bardavelidze, 15 million dollars are being invested in the project.

"Together with the Spaniards, we planted almonds on 200 hectares, the investment is $15 million. This company is quite experienced. This year we will have the first harvest and export it. We have planned various projects, including fruit that will be sold in Hong Kong," says Bardavelidze.
