Facebook Group 'Black Market' Opened a Store
The cosmetics and personal care products store- Black Market was opened at #53a Barnovi, Tbilisi. This is a continuation of the activity of the Facebook group of the same name, where the products of international brands have been sold online for years.
Anuki Bitsadze, the founder of the group and the store, says that the shop offers decorative cosmetics, personal care products, perfumes, accessories, and small appliances. According to her, consumers have the opportunity to buy products of such luxury brands, which are not officially represented in the Georgian market.
In the program "Women's Narrative", Anuki Bitsadze says that the Black Market Facebook group has been active for three years and has gained the trust of customers by offering high-quality products. According to her, consumers can buy products of 200 brands at a lower price than the market value, not only online, but now also in real space.
"Before opening the store, we organized a one-day fair twice, where several dozen sellers presented their cosmetics and care products for sale. This was a test phase to see how this direction works in general. About 10,000 people visited the first fair in 8 hours.
This experience solidified my idea that the store should exist. The first two days the store had so many customers that I thought I couldn't handle it.
We named both the group and the store Black Market because in both spaces products are presented at a price lower than the market value. We receive products from individuals, we have approximately 30 suppliers. Some of them are in Europe and the USA, and it is more accessible to them to buy products in "outlet" stores at a low price," says the founder.
According to Anuki Bitsadze, from next week Black Market products will be placed on delivery platforms and customers will be able to purchase them without leaving their homes.
