European Ferring Pharmaceuticals Interested in Starting Business in Georgia

European pharmaceutical company Ferring Pharmaceuticals is interested in starting a business in Georgia.

According to Natia Turnava, the company is especially interested in microbiology and phages.

"The company positively assesses the current economic situation in Georgia and the attractive investment environment. We have made specific plans for the online meeting. The company has already expressed readiness to invest," the economy minister said after an online meeting with Ferring Pharmaceuticals President Per Falk.

The online meeting was held within the framework of the strategy of proactive attraction of foreign investments and was attended by the General Director of the Agency "Produce in Georgia" Mikheil Khidureli.

"Georgia's economy is gradually starting to revive and we are catching up with many countries. We are doing everything to attract foreign investors," Natia Turnava said. According to her, the company is one of the largest pharmaceutical companies in its homeland and is among the 50 largest corporations of this profile in the world. We will help Ferring Pharmaceuticals decide to start a business in Georgia as soon as possible," Natia Turnava said.

It should be noted that the Ministry of Economy and Sustainable Development, together with the agency "Produce in Georgia", is implementing a strategy and action plan for the proactive attraction of foreign investment. In this context, meetings have already been held with more than 400 international companies to start or expand their business activity in Georgia.
