Esquisse Boutique Hotel to Open in Tbilisi on September 1
Esquisse, the boutique hotel of the Georgian brand was opened in the village of Kurdghelauri, Telavi Municipality, on July 1.
The hotel owner Noka Toradze told the Commersant that the objective of the Esquisse project is to combine science, culture, and art and shape a joint atmosphere. The hotel comprises 57 conceptual suites. This signifies every suite comprises a unique decoration and cultural concept. The hotel covers 6,500 m2 space. The site includes not only the Esquisse building but also the Kakhetian House. The Georgian brand will open a new hotel in Tbilisi too, on Chubinashvili Street in September.
“We have united Esquisse into one brand – at this stage, we have Esquisse hotel in Telavi. In September Esquisse hotel will open in Tbilisi and we also plan to carry out a rebranding of Esquisse Gudauri hotel. The brand’s name and logo are related to a Tbilisi-based building, built in the 19th century. This building was a unique house for holding literary and cultural-aesthetic meetings. This very public house has inspired our logo and concept. At this stage, we have a swimming pool and two restaurants in Telavi, Wine Cellar Restaurant, and a small vineyard.
The design is associated with wine, books, literature. We have a library too at Telavi hotel”, Noka Toradze noted. The global pandemic has essentially affected the hotel’s plan because the price margin was lowered to 80 USD for a standard suite. “We have lowered prices because of the crisis.
We wanted to rent a two-bed standard suite for 120 USD, however, prices declined to 80 USD. We are trying to take into consideration the market prices and segment”, Noka Toradze noted.
