Diamond Link Global to Connect Romania and Georgia
Georgia will have another underwater internet cable. It will go from Romania to Poti and will offer services to internet providers expected from 2022.
Diamond Link Global Cable will connect Romania and Georgia via internet cable.
The price of the investment is $35 million, which is implemented by the former owner of Caucasus online, Mamia Nadiradze with the help of American investors.
As Mamia Nadiradze noted, the main part of the investments are covered by US Export-Import Bank Exim Bank, and the rest by an American partner.
"The project works are already underway and we should expect the start of the cable construction in the near future."
According to Mamia Nadiradze, the internet will become cheaper as a result of the project.
"We will be oriented on large internet providers and will provide internet to wholesale customers. telecommunication companies. We hope, that in the future their customers will get cheaper services and increase the volume as they will be able to do so."
